2-Round Granny Square

  • Floating Double Crochet (Fdc)

  • Granny Cluster (GC) — 3dc where indicated
  • Restore Double Crochet (Rdc) – after round 1, restore slack yarn back onto hook to prepare for a double crochet, (Yo, pull through 2 loops) twice to complete a double crochet.
  • Chain (ch)
  • Slip Stitch (slst)
  1. Round 1: yarn over 3 times, make FR, (yarn over, pull through 2 loops) twice (counts as a dc). Release middle loop from hook (now referred to as “slack yarn”). Keeping slack yarn out of the way: Fdc, 2dc in Floating Ring. (Ch2, GC in Floating Ring) 3 times, ch1, sc in next dc (counts as a ch2 corner).
  2. Round 2: Rdc, 2dc in same space, (ch1, GC in next space, ch2, GC in same space) 3 times, ch1, GC in next space, ch2, slst into next dc, fasten off yarn.
