Joined Mini Granny Squares (Diamonds)

Stitches Used (US Terminology)
  • Floating Double Crochet 3 Together (Fdc3tog): yarn over, make Floating Ring, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook; (yarn over, insert hook into Floating Ring and draw up loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice; yarn over and draw through 4 loops on hook.
  • Double Crochet 3 Together (dc3tog)
  • Chain (ch)
  • Slip Stitch (slst)
Note: all stitches are worked into the current Floating Ring.
  1. Foundation Row: (Fdc3tog, ch4, dc3tog, ch4) 5 times (5 squares started).
  2. Return Row: (dc3tog, ch4, dc3tog, ch2, slst around ch4, c2, continue to next square) 4 times, in last square: dc3tog, ch4.
  3. Joined Foundation Row: Fdc, ch4, (Fdc, ch2, skip 4 dc3togs behind hook, slst in next ch4 space, ch2, dc3tog, ch4) 4 times.
  4. Return Row: (dc3tog, ch4, dc3tog, ch2, slst around ch4, c2, continue to next square) 4 times, dc3tog, ch4.
  5. (Repeat step 3, repeat step 4) 3 times.
  6. Finish Left Edge: (dc3tog, ch4, dc3tog, ch2, slst around ch4, c2, continue to next square) 4 times, in last square: dc3tog, ch4, slst into next dc3tog, fasten off yarn.
