Welcome Fringers!

What are Fringers? They’re crocheters who have discovered my game-changing secret for working automatically-joined motifs without breaking the yarn between each one.

What is the secret?

It’s called a Floating Ring, or “Fring” for short, and it gives you a way to crochet a bunch of motifs without having to sew them all together to make an item.

This means you can get into the flow of stringing one motif after the other as if you were crocheting a back-and-forth kind of stitch. So if you are put off by some projects because you don’t like the tedium of sewing a heaping pile of motifs together, then my Breakaway Crochet techniques are for you!

What can you make?

Floating Rings can be used to crochet all kinds of motifs such as simple yo-yos, traditional granny squares and even intricate lacy hexagons. Better still, you can go on to make practical home decor items, boho-style bags and delicate shawls – all WITHOUT ANY SEWING and NO YARN TAILS to weave in.

Another bonus – since entire pieces can be crocheted with one length of yarn, you avoid the disappointment of knots or magic rings coming loose due to daily wear and tear or frequent laundering.
